Ik voor Royal Blood, mja zit ook in een sterke poule.

 

Hebben net pas één album uit, die horen überhaupt hier niet eens tussen te staan.

Als dit het album is die ik de afgelopen maanden het vaakst heb geluisterd en hun in de top 3 van beste optredens van afgelopen Lowlands vind thuishoren, gun ik ze graag een plekje in de nominatilijst. Maar ik begrijp je argumentatie.

Snap dat je het een goed album vind, anders nomineer je hem niet. Maar vind dat je een band niet kan oordelen hoe goed ze aller tijden zijn, als ze pas één album uit hebben gebracht. Zo zie ik het tenminste.

Er is wel een verschil natuurlijk. In The Aeroplane...en ook wel Spiderland van Slint (want die doen hier ook mee met slecht één album) zijn beiden al rond de twintig jaar oud maar hebben wel echt hun stempel gedrukt op de muziekwereld en zijn echt wel klassiekers geworden. Een band met één album van een jaar oud dat volgens mij ook niet echt een grote impact heeft gehad hoort hier voor mij ook niet echt thuis (al had Chiemel uiteraard wel het recht om ze te nomineren).

Ging er ook om dat die plaat dit jaar gereleased was. Neutral Milk Hotel's album is al jaren uit. Hansje heeft uiteraard ook gelijk over dat Chiemel het recht heeft om ze te nomineren, enigste voorwaarde nu is, is dat het echt een band is. Verder staan er hier geen regels op.

Ik hou eigenlijk niet zo van die hele funk/soul/whatever-scene. Dat is iets waar we hard in verschillen vrees ik. Al moet ik eerlijk toegeven dat ik me er ook nog nooit echt in verdiept heb.

Dat dit moet komen van de man die twee relatief nieuwe rockbandjes verkiest boven kleppers als EitS en Porcupine Tree :S

 

Hehe dat dacht ik wel. Maar om eerlijk te zijn ken ik EITS helemaal niet zo heel goed ondanks dat ik wel een album op m'n iPod heb staan, en Porcupine Tree is net niet helemaal mijn band. Future Islands vind ik daarentegen wel echt mooi en The War on Drugs doet het vooral op mijn live ervaring.

 

Maar ik dacht dat je helemaal niet van de Stones hield, vandaar.

 

Tijd voor deel twee, dezelfde regels als de vorige keer. Maximaal 4 favorieten per groep, minder mag, meer niet. Mensen die nog niet op de eerste 8 groepen hebben gestemd mogen dat uiteraard alsnog doen.
